I have been priviledged to be one of recipients of the Illinois Storytelling Grant, sponsered both by the state of Illinois and the committee of the Illinois Storytelling Organization.  I am honored to be performing for the Graves Hume Library in Mendota, Illinois on July 18th.  Contact the library for further information.
Recently performed at the Sunrise Senior Living in Gurnee and was offered a wonderful opportunity to continue to share more events with their seniors and more facilities to come.
I am currently working on Love in Bloom...the love stories of Jack Benny.
Also to come are first person performances of Hedda Happer, Coco Channel and The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
My most exciting adventure ins the unknown tales of Chicago.  A historical tour of the behind the scenes and the swept under the capret tales of this famous city.

Hi,  My name is Debi  Gajewski of the Story Spinners.  I am a storytelling for all ages.  I love being able to bring to the public stories for education and pure enjoyment.  I have a vast collection of stories from every walk of life.   I am currently working on a book of stories from my childhood....stories to tickle your fancy or bring sweet memories to the surface.  Through writing my of the stories about my ironing days provoked me to research and collect handkerchiefs.  I love the history about them and when you see the collection I bring it will thoroughly delight you.  There are hankies from all eras.  hankies to please woman as well as men and children.  I love putting together programs for various occassions.
Please join me in my attempt to rejuvinate the word.....through stories.  Return to the days of old when Parents and Grandparents sat around the table or the proch and shared their history and tales.  Learn to tell some of your own.
If you are interested in any of my programs or open events, sign up and be notified of upcoming events.  Sign up for a newsletter as well...Here I will keep you posted of things to do each month to help spread stories with your family and freinds.
